OUR STORY
The Art of Kufic was born from a shared love of heritage, art, and design. Founded by Iraqi-American cousins and graphic designers, Raniah Chalingo and Rana Hanna Al-Shaikh, our brand reflects our roots and our connection through everyday clothing.
Inspired by the bold geometry of Kufic calligraphy typography of the Iraqi flag, we created The Art of Kufic as a way to bring culture and identity into everyday life through modern design. Our approach is intentional clean silhouettes, thoughtful details, and subtle references to where we come from. Each piece is designed to feel effortless, wearable, and personal, while carrying a story of heritage with it. Our collection is built around three everyday essentials:
